Features have been carefully selected to include two footswitchable channels, patented ISF tone control, power reduction and built-in reverb.

To provide the natural sonic response of a tube amplifier, the Blackstar design team chose to implement a MOSFET (Metal Oxide Semiconductor Field Effect Transistor) preamplifier.

The overdrive characteristics of MOSFETs are similar to those of valves. The R&D team went further than other manufacturers to propose a preamplifier design that is virtually indistinguishable from the valve references chosen.
